Bangaram Beach Lakshadweep
Where?
Bangaram has lagoon of 10kms long and 6kms wide. This island is 8 kms towards the north of agate, and 2 1/2kms distance towards the east of Tinnakara. To be a little more precise it is at 10 degrees 56' north latitude and 72 degrees 17’east longitude.
Why Bangaram?
There is no population residing on this island. But this islet has a gaining popularity amongst tourists. It has smooth sand and dense vegetation of palm grove. Multi colored gushing waves is impeccable to look at. Serene and calm environment on this atoll is making this isle internationally famous. Lagoons are deep but growth of multicolored corals, visible on surface of lagoons gives unforgettable scuba dive.
What else?
There is a great scope for fishing here. Fishing boats are available. There are beautiful turtles, which are unique of their kind. Scuba diving is best here. Having a walk near silver trickling water is beautiful.
How do I get there?
If you wish to reach the island by air then Indian Airlines flights operate except Sunday. There is an airport at Bangaram. You can take boats from various islands in Lakshadweep to Bangaram. Or you can take cruise from Mumbai. There is no rail and road transport as it is an island.

If you wish to spend few nights on this islet then Bangaram island resort is the best place to stay.
What do I carry?
Medicines, cigarettes, toiletries and other essential items are a must as you may not find them easily on this island.
