There isn’t really a better location for a vacation than Kelwa. The beautiful Kelwa Resort lies approximately 140 kms away from the daily hustle and bustle of Mumbai city, and the drive is fantastic. All the rooms at the resort are made from eco friendly material such as bamboo. Accommodation ranges from simple canvas tents to deluxe bamboo cottages and super deluxe cottages. As for the food at the resort, they have a wonderful beachfront restaurant that serves up a wide variety of cuisine from local seafood to continental. This mid sized resort has plenty of activities and features such as a swimming pool, beach sports, horse buggy rides on the beach and much more. The only drawback is that the staff can sometimes be a little lazy.

Tips:

Book in advance, especially on weekends and holiday season, as there will be a rush.

Take the opportunity to visit some of the nearby places such as Kelwa dam, Kelwa Fort and the famous Sitladevi Temple.
