Butler Bay Beach - Little Andaman

Where?
Butler Bay beach is located on the pristine islands of Little Andaman. The beach is located at a distance of 134 kms south of the capital city Port Blair.

Why Butler Bay Beach?
Because of its steady waters, the beach attracts a lot of surfing enthusiasts. Apart from this, the huge beach is perfect for a swim or sitting at the shore and unwinding or observing fauna.

What else?
The beach is very close to a beautiful waterfall called as the White Surf which is worth a visit. On the Butler Bay beach, many tourist huts are available to stay overnight. Other leisure activities like Jungle trekking, Elephant rides, boating etc can be carried out here.

How to get there?
Regular boats are available from Port Blair to Hut Bay, the main hub of Little Andaman. The journey takes about 5-6 hours. On reaching Hut Bay, a private vehicle can be hired to Butler Bay which is just 14 kms away.

Where to stay?
The government owned ANIFPDC offers tour packages to Little Andaman which covers Butler Bay. A lot of local private hotels can also be found very close to the beach.

What to carry?
If you like surfing, make sure to carry your surfboard. Apart from this, carry your camera and if you can then an underwater lens as the underwater life here is definitely worth a look. If you are staying in a tourist hut, carry mosquito repellent.
